Reaganomics would like to take this time to wish it’s first ever happy birthday to fellow blogger and a Wes Andersen aficionado Chelsea Graham. She is 22 today. I’m pretty sure.
Go over to her blog at chelofthesea.com and send her some love over in Shitscinatti.

i was awoken this morning by my alarm clock playing september by earth wind and fire and let me tell you, if you are ever in the mood to have fun getting ready for anything, that’s the song for it.
the reason i had an alarm clock awaken me this morning was so i’d be able to purchase tickets for muse in irvine in september but upon seeing the date, i realized that the date was the night before the pepperdine invite which is kind of important to me, ohio state is going to be there. so i decided ultimately not to go, they’ll be back soon anyways. so not a big deal.
i then went to the sherman oaks castle park with brian. i’m just going to lay this down right now, best place ever, especially when the coin shooting game is broken and gives out more tickets than kevin federline. (this comparison copyright clayton graham 2007). yeah, i played a deal or no deal game there and tried to make it seem all serious. i won 8 tickets. we ended up with 700-something tickets which part of which was spent on “grills” which are currently in my mouth.
we went to in-n-out after. delicious. too bad our cashier kid needed to hear the order 50 times before someone else came to take it. what a rook.
ever since, i’ve been kind of tired but listening to a lot of radiohead. it’s actually pretty well fitting.

hey, old big bear here. i’m working at my dad’s office right now. i thought i’d have to come in and do filing or something like that today but naw, i’m just sitting around eating and answering phones. i’m getting paid to do this too. wow. ill try and keep a running blog throughout the day of the adventures of the second hottest receptionist in the world.
9:27 – Still no calls yet. I’m eating a chocolate muffin from albertson’s. it may just be me but albertson’s definitely dropped the ball on the quality of its chocolate muffins. it’s still alright. i’m listening to all the jazz i have to preform tonight. kinda of nervous, not gonna lie.
9:52 – 2 calls. 1 from the district office for the mother. I redirected her like none of your business. I’m so good. Especially not that I now spell business correctly. The other call was from the big guy. He’s asking me to salvage files. Those who have experienced this are the only ones who truly understand what a bitch salvaging files is. I hate file salvaging.
10:42 – There is this woman whose name I will not mention. She keeps calling about a letter went sent overnight yesterday that should arrive to her by 12 today. It hasn’t arrived yet. She wanted a tracking number on a letter sent overnight. Does that exist? i’m listening to the kroq online stream at my desk here. i hate the song dani california. ive heard it 347218057 times. it still sucks.

Jason Bourne vs. James Bond. JB vs. JB. USA vs. England. Bulls vs. Lakers in the NBA playoffs. Personal War vs. Cold War. The list can go on forever, well, at least until I make even more irrelevant comparisons. Now, this argument can go either ways. It’s a close one. I’ll first give you a brief opinion of each and then my decision on the winner.
Jason Bourne – Fun movies with a great story line. They center around Jason Bourne, a former special agent in the CIA trained in odd manners which lead to various mental problems. After one mission, his memory is erased and he is thrown into the ocean. His goal is to use his minimal amount of flashbacks and knowledge gained to figure out who he is and get revenge for what has happened to him. He’s a hero, but he isn’t. He’s going up against the US government but given the class I’ve taken the past 4 weeks, I don’t blame him. He uses conventional weapons and tactics to defeat his enemies. The movies are great. The cinematography is excellent and the characters are amazing. The thought-inducing plot leaves much to be answered. It’s a reason like that, that I appreciate the show lost. It doesn’t show or tell you everything. You have to think. Sometimes good, sometimes bad. Two movies released with a third coming next week and then the series will be over. The lead has always been played by Matt Damon.
James Bond – Exciting. Great special effects. Visually stunning. Creative plots. Amazing weaponry. Larger than life super-villains. All great things but, are they real enough? The movies are fun to watch and always have great development but, sometimes it just isn’t believable. James is a flawless character with no constant inner struggle. The plots rarely connect across movies and the actor playing Bond is constantly replaced, sometimes for the better. The cinematography is excellent and the scenery is breathtaking and massive.
Final Choice:
Jason Bourne. His movies are just better movies. They work your mind. They have action-packed sequences with a surprise around every corner. You constantly are wondering about the next twist in the overall plot of the series. He uses modern weapons in modern situations. Jason Bourne is the winner.
Now upcoming movies I want to see:
The Ten, Bourne Ultimatum, The Darjeeling Limited.

so yesterday i had a few members of the gang over to watch beckham’s debut in the USA. now, some might say that they expected him not to play but that doesn’t make sense. first off, it would be horrible marketing and set back soccer in america. much like killing harry potter off and killing the next two movies. second, he injured his ankle a long while ago. he’s been playing on it for awhile. this wasn’t a new injury, he was going to play about 10 minutes. finally, he’s beckham, he’s the best.
okay, now onto the game, we had a pool going to see what time beckham will get into the game or not at all. alex horwitch was the winner with his pic from 70-80. becks looked good. he spent most time just skipping around but that’s typical of an ankle injury. the cross was amazing and dead on. most people who watched the game wont get why he didnt score but that’s not what makes beckham great. he has the single greatest cross in the game of soccer. hands down, no arguments. i can see in the future beckham getting a cross into a donovan header. speaking of donovan, what was up with the corner kick? it seems like he is going to have a hard time relinquishing his role as the marquee player to someone else, which may result in a problem in the future.
on the whole, it was a good game, chelsea is a great team and galaxy played them great through the first half. expect them to make a strong run going towards the end of the season. they’ve got the talent but most players on that team havent been there longer than 2 months. they just need to get adjusted to each other.
in future blogging news, i’ll be reviewing the new starting line album and comparing jason bourne to james bond. keep an eye out!

sorry for the lack of an update yesterday, i was just really busy, get off my back lady!
so today at summer school we watched another john stossel video in government. yes, it was about as amazing as its title “stossel goes to washington.” it’s weird that a lot of the points stossel makes i agree with but, i’m not conservative. i think it’s the ’stache. gotta respect the ’stache. econ was pretty boring. we had a test, half the class cheated. paul just doesn’t understand that first period will give second period all the answers when you grade the test in class.
i then came home cause i was tired yet really didn’t get much sleep. i did some cleaning and organizing and the finishing touches for j.wo’s playlist. it should be pretty good, i hope. i then played NCAA 2008 and let me tell you, it is quite the enjoyable experience.
best purchase made within the past week easily. plus, i’m undefeated. yeah brian, i still remember.
j.wo is leaving for camp for 8 days so tonight i had dinner with her at anabargh, i hadnt really eaten there in about a year yet my 15 percent off card still worked. damn it feels good to be a gangster. we hit the track after dinner and i noticed they’re putting in the high jump pits but the tartan is black…? the track is red…. anyways, after a long while we finally said goodbye and i headed home.
now into some thoughts…
you ever see someone doing stuff you used to do and instead of feeling jealous or anything of the sort, you just feel glad that you’re not doing it anymore? it’s a pretty nice feeling.
harry potter is released saturday, the book has been leaked on the internet. who’s going to read a book by photos of the pages? not me said the man with the blog.
well, i’ve got traffic school in the morning for my DWB so i’ll catch you kids later.

as promised by the catergories on the rightt side of your page, it is time for me to present you with a musical review. it may not make sense, but it’s a review, it works. trust me.
so today i will be reviewing the cd “The Thievery of Your Own Things,” by los angeles band IMMOOR. upon first impression the cd sounds like a band trying to like the postal service, which is a pretty safe assumption but, IMMOOR is a band with it’s own sound. the music does sound like postal service but have points that even play like death cab on transatlanticism. the cd is soft and relaxing yet has a beat where it’s not the kind of cd you’ll only listen to when you go to sleep although that is entirely possible. the lyrics read like poetry and fit in perfectly. there’s more pop than electronic, and even a song with a nice acoustic introduction. if you’re into electronic music at all, or just want to check out a new band, i recommend this cd.
favorite track: “collapsible construction”
rating: ****
yeah so that’s the first review down, don’t expect them all to be positive, just this is a really good cd.

i think i’m going to start this with a talk about my econ teacher mr. goldman. he’s an okay guy, i’d have a lot of respect for him except for the fact that i’m in summer school, and summer school makes clayton a very, very, very bitter man. anyways, this man is extremely reminiscent of paul giamatti of “big fat liar” and “sideways” fame. now, if you have seen my open letter about lady in the water, you would know i do not like paul giamatti. now i’m sure paul giamatti knows nothing about economics, he just knows a lot about boxing but, the fact that my econ teacher looks like him really grinds my gears. i dunno, maybe i’m just bitter, but then again, alexander hamilton called aaron burr bitter, and we all know where that got him.
