sorry for the lack of a post yesterday, i was really hoping to post every day i could. i guess i didn’t really let you down then…yeah, things just got really tough for me so i’m just going to keep it short today.
today i wanna talk about music. not just any music. sondre lerche. sondre (pronounced san-druh) is the most talented sensitive singer songwriter of our generation and mabye my favorite artist. more about him later, but, for right now, do yourself a favor and download his first album “faces down.” it’ll change your life. forever.
Sorry I haven’t been posting, readers. I’ve been really busy since I got back from my trip but I’m trying as hard as I can to get the pictures edited and put up a post with all of them.
A small preview of my pictures can be seen, given that I have now changed the header to a picture I took while walking through Rome and now have a user pic, the most epic high five ever, at Lake Homo Como.
I want to take this time to talk about a band though yet, this is not just any band. If you’ve ever met me, you’ve probably heard me talking about them for hours on end and when it comes down to it. Yes, Seattle’s Kay Kay and His Weathered Underground is the greatest band in the good old US of A at the moment and I’m prepared to argue that with you. A band formed from two members of Gatsby’s American Dream, Kay Kay is pure genius. The sound covers everything from rock to jazz. You can turn on Kay Kay and just get lost in the music and all which you discover through it. They released a live album (amazing quality) available now on iTunes and are recording a studio full-length. Kay Kay recently made their TV debut on Last Call (Like the Format…) and are heading up. Check them out on their myspace

This video from their DVD “Live From The Pretty Parlor” performing “Hey Momma”:
So, I’m back from my long break from bloggings, I’ll talk to you all later and also, go see Superbad. I died in it’s arms that night.
as promised by the catergories on the rightt side of your page, it is time for me to present you with a musical review. it may not make sense, but it’s a review, it works. trust me.
so today i will be reviewing the cd “The Thievery of Your Own Things,” by los angeles band IMMOOR. upon first impression the cd sounds like a band trying to like the postal service, which is a pretty safe assumption but, IMMOOR is a band with it’s own sound. the music does sound like postal service but have points that even play like death cab on transatlanticism. the cd is soft and relaxing yet has a beat where it’s not the kind of cd you’ll only listen to when you go to sleep although that is entirely possible. the lyrics read like poetry and fit in perfectly. there’s more pop than electronic, and even a song with a nice acoustic introduction. if you’re into electronic music at all, or just want to check out a new band, i recommend this cd.
favorite track: “collapsible construction”
rating: ****
yeah so that’s the first review down, don’t expect them all to be positive, just this is a really good cd.
