school starts again tomorrow. that means today is the last day of break. not too sure how i feel about this. there’ll of course be the sudden and completely lack of sleep. but, i’ll get to see people i otherwise haven’t been able to…fuck them. i want sleep.

january 4th

i’ve realized i really like indian music. i don’t know why. i think it might have to do with the fact that it’s extremely unpredictable. i kind of like how it’s like discovering something new…with your ears. that sorta discovery is really only felt when you hear something like a fact or a rumor.

on that note, how long does it take a rumor to become fact? i thought about this when i was watching history channel yesterday. it seems like they know so many personal details about people, but i fail to see the proof. shakespeare is a good example. a lot of people think that he was in fact a woman. other people think he was gay. it seems like gay gets tossed around a lot in history, but it’s only when someone reaches a certain point of greatness. shakespeare’s the greatest writer of all time you say? god, he’s so gay. even the roman emperors, who were the biggest things on earth when they were around, apparently they loved gay sex. apparently, they even had massive gay orgies. you know what this sounds like to me? “peterson got the promotion and not me? what a fucking faggot.” apparently there’s always going to be one really jealous guy throughout history throwing out the gay line. it just sucks for shakespeare, he got the woman line too. im not saying it’s bad to be a woman, i’m simply saying, it’s bad to be a guy, and be called a woman. and vice versa. unless you’re mulan, in which case, you don’t mind at all, until you meet the cute captain, that is.

anyways, enough of that. it’s raining right now. how come every time it rains, the weather channel freaks out? they treat it like the storm of the century. i just think it’s a way for them to get back all the viewers who leave them every time they’re wrong.

upon looking at my bookshelf this evening, i’ve realized i have a lot of reading to catch up on. that is why i would like to make this my first blog updating the book i’m currently reading…

“Absurdistan” by Gary Shteyngart.

jillian got it for me along with a 60 inch high penguin marvel currently set up in my room. she wanted to get me something to change my life, like a book or something and this one is supposed to be like one from 2 of my favorite authors so this was her choice. very good choice.  i’m about a hundred pages into it and i can already say it’s really good. it’s kinda weird. but really good. if i were you, i’d recommend the first 100 pages to everyone i know. which, it so happens, i already do. and i don’t do that a lot.

anyways, expect this to become an occasional addition to my blog.

in other news, go see sweeney todd. really, really, really good. good like the first 100 pages of “absurdistan” (see above). i don’t really like musicals and i liked it. i even bought the soundtrack. it’s that good.

finally, i would like to let everybody know that i wish them a happy new year with hopes that next year is a lot better than this one, regardless of how much tail you managed to snag.

ive been trying to write some music lately. it’s really hard to be really inspired yet not posses the ability to put forth what you want to say. it’s like im working on a budget, but money has nothing to do with it. i don’t even think this music exists! i guess it’s time to “make music.”

remind me of simcity when you would do the disasters menu and pick fire and the fire would just start showing up everywhere and you couldn’t really ever stop them and your city gets destroyed but, that’s the reason you hit the button in the first place right?
